Enough with all the confusing dog training advice that no normal human can follow!
Here’s all you need to train the basics to your family dog…
Are you overwhelmed and struggling to train your dog?
I’m not surprised—so many new dog owners feel the same way. The reason is that today’s social media makes training a simple pet dog seem way too hard. Honestly, all you really need to train your dog is some common sense. Let me tell you how.
Keep it simple, friends. Get yourself a leash. Clip it onto your dog’s collar early in your relationship, and teach them that you’re setting limits with the leash. When they pull or tug you toward something, don’t move. Stand firm, like a pillar.

What about treats?
What about sitting down and all of that?
First of all, if you’re constantly giving treats to your dog, all it does is overexcite them. Put the treats away. Bring them out only occasionally. Use them for one day at a time when you want to shape a new behavior or during recall training.
The rest of the time, focus on your relationship with the dog. It’s about the limits you set with the leash.
The dog needs to learn to respect you and have faith in your authority. That’s real dog training—teaching a dog how to be civilized and live in our world.
